That argument won't wash here. If he was as good as the "experts" thought, then his talent would have overtaken Matt Flynn, especially when Flynn got hurt this year. Perrilloux had some chances to make an impression during the season. He flat out blew it. He became unreliable.

I don't give a damn what your talent is. When you're a leader and clown around like this by not going to class, attending meetings and going to weight workouts, you give no one a reason to believe in you and to trust you.

The kid has been on that campus for 2-3 seasons. The LSU staff probably knows enough to know what a melonhead he is.

That, of course, was after he had declared he was heading to Texas where he would be an immediate starter because "Vince Young's a nice athlete, but he can't make all the plays and all the throws I can."

I bet Young is still terrified the Titans will draft this guy and he'll end up on the bench .... or not ....

Actually, he didn't "blow it," per se. He was the MVP of the SEC title game, wasn't he?
