I don't think he'll be NBA but would have a nice overseas career.
It would only be fair to judge him playing around/with some decent talent.
Yes, due - his teammates have butterfingers and turnover problems galore.

http://nbadraft.net/profiles/rickrickert.htm Sorry, I am from Minnesota. He was a similar type recruit. He turned Duke, Arizona to go to Minnesota, and then was a mediocre player. The Timberwolfes drafted him in the 2nd round to placate local fan, and then sent him to Europe. He may have played a year with the big league team, but got into a physical fight with Garnett. Guess what, he got cut. Now, he makes like $100k in some foreign league because he sat on the bench on the NBDL. Willis to slot receiver!
Yep bhop has such great court vision that turns it over quite frequently with stupid plays - especially right after stealing the ball - effectively erasing his steal. And yeah the other guys could not handle his passes - tough to catch bounce passes in the lane that bounce off defenders - plus those passes around the ankles are tough to handle. I hope he waits a couple of weeks before worrying about the NBA - still has some games to play for SMU - would be nice see him get going in the conference tourney
It's not all on his teammates -- his health also has played a large factor. However, while the Hop fans (for the record: count me among them) might be deflecting the attention away from him when he has struggled, his skeptics also seem to belittle his accomplishments as the result of being a ball hog. Frankly, I think the truth lies somewhere in between.
Hop is in pretty rare company: he's one of 14 players in NCAA history with 1,500 career points, 350 rebounds, 350 assists and 200 steals. The others:
Kirk Hinrich (Kansas), DeJuan Wheat (Louisville), LaBradford Smith (Louisville), Cookie Belcher (Nebraska), Hunter Greene (New Mexico), Hollis Price (Oklahoma), Tim McCalister (Oklahoma), Vonteego Cummings (Pittsburgh), Adrian Autry (Syracuse), Jason Hart (Syracuse), Billy Owens (Syracuse), Mardy Collins (Temple) and Mark Macon (Temple). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On an unrelated note, I once tried to cover Billy Owens in high school. I would have had just as much luck defending LeBron James or Shaquille O'Neal.
