It would be prudent next year to ensure school is in session during Thanksgiving to accomodate a football game and start school the first week in January to ensure attendance at basketball games. When I was at SMU in the 60s the only Fall break was the day after Thanksgiving with finals ending roughly December 22. The second semester started the 2d week of January and Spring break was limited to the week after Easter. Bring back the old days for the sake of sports.
