I know someone who is a very involved college basketball insider and I talked to him about it. He said all this past week that Texas was the school that he has heard from everyone who is connected. I trust him alot so take that for what it's worth

OBF - glad that we can agree that Mr. Turner is a PF, he is not a Center

In watching Tuner's highlights his game reminds me of Marcus Camby when he was at UMASS. All Camby did was lead UMASS to the #1 Team in the nation when Calipari was coaching him. Turner appears to have a better outside game than Camby. Turner's length should allow him to matchup down low with bigs, similar to Camby. SMU could have regular "Block Parties" at Moody!

Myles and his family are on twitter denying this pretty strongly. I believe them. SMU isn't even on his official list. Everybody needs to calm down. We will still be a great team next year

Their denial of this and any other rumors is fully expected. He will announce his decision when he is ready.

Have you seen him play? I've caught him live in-person and the guy I saw was a PF that could stretch the defense out. Had a nice mid-range game and very well developed around the rim. Just my two cents, he's got versatility that is rare in a guy of his size.

A couple of times. When I saw him he looked much more comfortable around the rim. No doubt he has a great shot for a guy his size. I don't know if he has the foot speed to guard a forward although his length can make up for that.

He's really developed his game from last year. I saw him on TV last year, much different player this year when I saw him. He shouldn't have a lot of trouble with guarding a PF but I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see him play the true center position either in college. In the NBA, he's a PF though.

If you have decided on signing with SMU and are waiting for the right moment, well, I totally get it.

If you could seal the deal right away, that would really pump some winds in the sail of us SMUers.

Not really. Read it again "Myles Turner is closing in on a decision to sign with the SMU basketball program". If he picks Okie State, they can argue that he did close in on his decision to sign with SMU...and the decision was to play elsewhere.

I respectfully disagree with your interpretation.

As would 95%+ of people who read the article.
