11/08/13 vs. Appalachian State TV PNC Arena W, 98-77 11/12/13 at Cincinnati TV Cincinnati, Ohio L, 68-57 11/16/13 vs. Campbell TV PNC Arena W, 81-66 11/20/13 vs. North Carolina Central TV PNC Arena L, 82-72 11/26/13 vs. Florida Gulf Coast TV PNC Arena W, 82-62 11/30/13 vs. Eastern Kentucky TV PNC Arena W, 75-56 12/04/13 vs. Northwestern TV PNC Arena W, 69-48 12/07/13 vs. Long Beach State TV PNC Arena W, 76-66 12/14/13 vs. Detroit TV Reynolds Coliseum W, 82-79 12/18/13 at Tennessee TV Knoxville, Tenn. FWIW, if you take NC St's OOC RPI and put is next to our OOC RPI and order it from biggest to smallest, it looks like this: NCst SMU 335 315 318 311 301 306 229 279 217 273 164 265 153 197 123 154 102 145 99 135 48 113 41 68 19 10 (165) (198) (Average OOC RPI) We both had 3 stinkers (300+), but after that theirs dropped considerably. DISCLAIMER-I still think we got hosed and I'm very upset about it; just trying to look at it as unbiased as I can
I mean, I agree. Better team is still SMU, the record indicates it, the quality wins indicates it, every metric other than RPI indicates it, my eyeballs indicate it...but yes, the OOC scheduling is a major issue, need more teams that are good but not good enough to be in the tourney that should equate to wins. But at the end of the day, SMU was the better team. #screwed

So NC State has a slightly tougher schedule, but what the hell, they had 4 more games lost!
So, the message from selection idiots is that wins and losses do not matter, only who you play that matters.
The more I read about all this, the more P-O'ed I get!
This selection committee botched it. EM-F-ERS !!
Beat the hell out of anybody!

Thank you. I had been planning on doing this when I got to work.

Yes, the AD at Wake Forest. And even the Wake Forest people want him fired as there is a website set up for it.

The SOS argument is like the big green face of the Grand Wizard of Oz. Its a diversion. Hide a bias selection in a red herring and hope nobody finds out.

Exactly. And did that same SOS argument keep Louisville from getting the seeding they deserved? Did it bump UCONN, Memphis and Cincy down and into the same bracket. I would like to recommend bombarding every single member of that committee with complaints. I'd ask for ALL of their resignations.

I think it'll get worse next year. Add Lville to the ACC and more reason to allow more teams with double digit losses from a conference like that vs a 25 win 3rd or 4th place team from a non power conference
