Nic Moore - still injured?

Postby JasonB » Mon Mar 17, 2014 10:50 am

Before we all leap down the guy's throat for not playing well over the last three games....

I was at the event on Sunday night, and Nic was visibly hobbling when he walked across the court when the team first came in.

Smusic, I know you have heard otherwise, and I know you are really close to the team. But I made a point of watching him as he walked across the court, and his leg was stiff and he was limping...

I don't know about his ankle but I don't think his ankle caused him to get the tech that in the Houston game.

I was just about to say the same thing. Could add the two silly fouls in the Louisville game too.

when LB talks about the team's reaction to adversity, we all know who he's talking about. Nic's a 3rd year player. There isn't any excuse for losing his cool over and over again. The book is out on him, so he's got to figure out how to channel that anger into something positive.

Precisely, don't care if he tries his hardest and goes 0-9 from the field. All of your players will have off nights. However, when you can't keep your emotions in check and pick up silly fouls (Louisville) or technicals (Houston) that is a huge problem because that hurts the team. That's the stuff LB was talking about when he said we lacked character and poise. When stuff doesn't go our way we can't shrug it off and play through, we get frustrated and start acting stupid. LB will fix that, and missing out on the tourney because of it should help our guys grow.
