So even though I was offered multiple GA options, I assume as previously posted it truly is first come first served for those seats?

My guess is the ticket office was blindsided as much as anyone and is doing their best to get folks to the game period. Easy to say they should have been prepared, but if we made the tourney and tickets for the first NCAA games were screwed up because they had been focused on a potential NIT game (which most did not expect to happen), they would have caught even more heck than they are for this issue.

Grant - this would be a valid argument had they not found the ability to be "prepared" for the spenders in the red seats for this unexpected NIT game.

Basically what the ticket office told me. And they want people sitting in the lower seats first for appearance's sake.

Then why make them available to Cal-Irvine fans?

That's what the ticket guy said when I spoke with him. He was ballparking the 2500.

I wasn't saying it as a good or bad comment. 5000 expected. Was hoping for sold out. The truly "depressing" part is that if you would have told SMU fans at the begging of the year that we would be the #1 seed in the NIT with a super bright future, most would have been doing cartwheels. Having represented multiple alumni boards for schools that got in yesterday, I've received well over 400 texts rubbing it in my face about SMU. See you Wednesday folks.

Wow...I woke up and a life-long friend of mine, who is a big aggie, had posted on his FB saying that his friend's (me) SMU Mustangs were robbed. That's all I've gotten from my friends...they are as shocked as we are.
