Everyone I've talk to has expressed that SMU was robbed and are pointing the finger at the ACC.

Basically what the ticket office told me. And they want people sitting in the lower seats first for appearance's sake.

Then why make them available to Cal-Irvine fans?

I don't think they're worried about that. They just want butts in seats and I doubt there will be many visitors.

Unfortunately, SMU can be a popular school to not like. MANY of the ~400 are Baylor fans and I suspect many of them are fearful of SMU's growing position (and SMU potentially de-throning them as Kings of Texas). Since Baylor could finish in the bottom two next year in the Big 12, give them their 10 minutes.

I dont give a rats about whether i get my normal season ticket seats or not. I am genuinely worried that we will get a crappy crowd after the disappointment that was yesterday. I would be much happier with a packed place, and me getting the worst 2 seats in the house than my legit fear of the place being empty on Wednesday.

I fear this rushed ticketing will make it worse. I think most people would rather pay $15 or $20 and know where they will sit rather than be confused by GA this or that, weird row numbers, and having to get to the stadium an hour or more in advance. I picture this General Admission free for all being a disaster.

After half time is going to be an absolute $h!t$h0w.

Personally, I am disappointed that many of us loyal fans that committed to the whole season are being pushed to the back of the line while certain sections keep ROFR.

Either way, I will be there & I will be loud, but I feel bad for security and the ushers who are going to have to deal with this.

They panicked for sure on this one. I had almost calmed down but then I looked at Baylor's schedule and started screaming.

Yea the ticket office definitely rushed this one. I've spoken with them and they said their primary concern was to try and sell as many tickets as possible and they just didn't have a way off offering reserved seats to all the season ticket holders and still leave enough time to then sell them to the general public. He also told me that the backlash against this was so strong that they almost certainly will handle the next game differently if SMU wins.

If SMU is playing LSU or Arkansas in a potential future NIT game we have to make sure we give our season ticket holders priority.

for the record, I think every student should get in for free. Reward them for making Moody what it is this year. This will also get more in the door

Agree completely. But it's not like our student body can't afford a $5 ticket

What's the website where you can hire smu kids?

I'm thinking I'll just hire a kid & buy him a ticket and have him camp out and hold my seats for me. If the website doesn't work, I'll just hire a hobo.
