Possible Silver Lining: do we get to keep any of the Moody NIT revenues for ourselves?

Biggest Negative to me: I don't buy that SMU was necessarily a one-and-done team. I think the chances of them making the Sweet Sixteen at around 30%.

HAD we made the Sweet Sixteen, the impact on our program would have been enormous. Now we are left with never knowing.

At $10 a general admission ticket......not exactly a huge as it's hard to believe an extra $100,000 - $200,000 would really have much impact on the athletic department. Maybe if we end up playing 3 home games but we might have to give the money to the AAC like a bowl game to be distributed to everybody.

The silver lining is we get to have a few more games in moody for our students and local fans to watch the mustangs. Everything else is a grey storm could that blows.

Concession, parking and TV revenue as well. Maybe enough to fund the rowing team for a while which would help.

My silver lining: the possibility of TWO games at Madison Square Garden! Moody is a bit of a hike for me.
(But I WILL get to Moody next season)

Silver lining for me is that as long as Arkansas is alive in the NIT I will get good coverage from here. If we and they can each win 2 games there will be a packed Moody rematch of SMU-Arkansas.

Actually by my reading of the bracket, that rematch would be at MSG.

SMU-Arky would be at Moody. Quarterfinal. Winner would go to MSG.

Yeah. I am guessing we need to beat UCI, LSU, and Cal to get to MSG, but it could be Arkansas in the last one.

If Ark and Cal play, it will be in California and The Beloved Razorbacks have not been a good road team for most of the year.

I would like to see a Moody SMU Arkyland game but not sure it is a high possibility.

I'd love another shot at Arkansas. That first game did me no favors with my friends/co-workers as far as bragging rights go.

Can any of those teams shoot the 3FG? Basically that's all you need to know.
