For example, Illinois (2 seed) is not hosting any games as they just started renovating their arena up after the season ended.

RPI's of the four 8 seeds:

UCI - 114
Robert Morris - 135
Fla Gulf Coast - 153
High Point - 172

we have by far the toughest opponent.

Florida State and St. John's drew FGCU and Robert Morris, respectively, most likely because of proximity. High Point is in North Carolina, almost equidistant from SMU and Minnesota (give or take 150 miles). However, Dallas is more than 500 miles closer to Irvine than Minneapolis. That's my best guess

Depends on when the winner of our game and the other game decide. They can do it between the dates of the 20th through the 24th.

I think it's actually through the 25th, Monday. But it won't compete with a tourney game and someone said elsewhere that there would be only one second round NIT game over the weekend. Any way of knowing more than that?

It sounds like you as much about it as there is to be known at this time. Except, Monday is actually the 24th.

Do you think the NCAA will punish us next year for being in a tournament with seeds at this level?
