Not going to happen. Thanks in advance for the top 100 RPI win
TJ Warren won't be there to save the Wolfslack's @$$. . . So, yeah! SMU will straight out punk UNC State.
Love how you folks over here are just as intense as NCSU folks. Years of being stepped on does that to ya. Still not worried without Warren. Our 4 freshmen will be sophs and should more than make up for his departure. Don't rely too much on your fresh, you will be in trouble.

While NCSU will have more overall talent than SMU they do not have a better coach than SMU. Gottfried is known for doing less with more.

Hey Ricky Bobby. . . SMU will have 5 seniors & (2) redshirt juniors. Don't need to rely on freshman. Although, one freshman by the name of Emmanuel Mudiay will be playing. He's the nation's top hs pg. TJ Warren won't be there to save the Wolfslack's @$$. Not only will SMU punk UNC State's @$$. I hope the SMU players laugh at your fans as they exit the playing floor.

As a North Carolinian, let me give you guys the scoop:
NCSU is like the Texas Tech of North Carolina. Nobody wants to go to school there. The campus is ugly. The girls are ugly. They all wanted to go to UNC, but couldn't get in. So they hate the Heels. They wanted to go to Duke, but couldn't get in. So they hate the Blue Devils, since that place is reserved for the wealthy northeastern kids. So out of the 3 schools in the Triangle, NCSU students are the only ones that basically didn't want to attend their school. PS - They couldn't afford Wake Forest.
NCSU is basically ECU, but in a better conference. One of NCSU's biggest boosters (Wendell Murphy/Murphy Family) made his money on, you guessed it, pig farms/pork products.
So when you think of NC State girls, the first thing you should think of is....pigs.

I am proud of or agricultural background. We are also proficient in many other industries as I am sure you know if you are in NC. The stereotypes of old regarding State are no longer true either if you have been to the campus lately. Petty insults do not bother me; we are dancing!! Any SMU fans that want to go back to an actual discussion? Thatd be nice.

Not trying to insult anyone, just providing some context for the non-Carolina people. I have friends/family that are alums of almost every school in the state, from UNCW to Davidson to Duke to ECU to UNC to State to Wake.
There is a hierarchy among schools, just like there is in Texas. And NCSU happens to sit near the bottom. That's all. No insults, just facts.

Comparing public and private universities is not apples to apples. Duke and Wake are both private. UNC is the only univ I would possibly rank ahead of NCSU, even though they are proficient is other industries outside of what State focuses on. Do a little research on NCSU academics nationally and you will see they have a valuable degree and often outclass UNC.

Most any way you slice the data, NCST should be on the outside looking in. We can agree on that.
And if you think there wasn't a ton of politicking going on from the ACC members of the selection committe / Coach K, then you (plural) are incredibly ignorant.

We should be on the outside, but are not. Rare time that we catch a break. The last 8 out were all equally bad in reality, one had to get the call.

the problem with that statement is that only 1 of those teams was ranked in both AP and Coaches Polls - SMU.
That being said, no crying over spilled milk...what's done is done.
Should be a great home/home series for the both of us over the next 2 years.

I understand the rankings argument but you proceeded to lose 3 games and fall from the rankings. Look forward to the games and a new season of basketball. This is an exciting and upsetting time of the year as we are about to be stuck with baseball for months....

We were #18 before we lost two of those three to ranked teams.

so littlepony - if I read your response correctly you acknowledge the two privates in NC are better schools, and that UNC is better - so therefore in a state with a population about the size of a Dallas suburb, you are (best case) the fourth best at what a university is primarily in existence to achieve.
You must be so proud.
