Pretty funny photo from SMU's FB of when Ndiaye hurdled Nic.

Now that pic is funny. Think that was the play Nic was pushing the ball up court fastbreak style. I thought Nic was going to duck under & between Ndiaye's legs for the layup

I just heard Rich talking about Ndiaye on the Ticket. He gave a little backstory on him. I found a story in the OC paper - he's had an interesting journey and seems to be a great young man. I'm a fan and will follow him moving forward.

I thought he was a bit slow side-to-side as we demonstrated on a couple of baseline reverse layups. There was no way you were going to get a shot over him coming in from the top.

Had no idea he had a brain tumor 4 yrs ago...what a story. Speaks 5 languages? That's pretty amazing. Sounds like a smart guy and even better person. He got my attention when he bear hugged everyone on our team and was laughing with Larry. I'll be rooting for him in the future. He has some potential for sure

he was slow sise to side, down the court and had no movement away from the Basket-that's why Ben Moore was successfully able to get 5 Offensive rebounds, and the reverse layups were successful while the others weren't and while Caneen was successful with short range jumpers. We should have run him all nite on fast breaks as we successfully did sometimes in second half for easy points. I think Nic had a good floor game but he was often too conservative on the break especially in first half. For example on the play described above when Nic was playing around and the Giant almost ran over him-the ball should have been down the floor and taken staight to the hole-that was Nic playing his usual games right there. The Giant definitely physically changed our offense but he also had physical deficiencies that we often failed to exploit

Anyone remember the former NBA player of the same name? Probably just me. He even played for the Mavs for at least a 10 day cameo. NOBODY BLOCKS SHOTS LIKE YOUR MAMADOU!

I was impressed with how big he was. As a freshman, his body is a lot more filled out than Shawn Bradley could ever dream of. He also runs well. He's got a shot at the next level for sure.

I thought the big man was pretty athletic for a guy his size who has played so little basketball. It appeared to me that Nic Moore had intentionally slowed in hopes the big man would run him over and pick up a foul, but Ndiaye basically hurdled Moore. I was impressed he was able to avoid running Nic over

Mamadou is the adopted son of my brothers best friend out in California. Apparently he is one of the nicest, best young man my brother has ever had the chance to meet. Spoke really highly of the whole family.

Only problem is that the NBA is moving more toward that high flying, quick up and down the court center.

Yes, I remember him and I was asking those around me at the game if UCI's Mamadou was the NBA player's son. But when Rich was discussing him on the air I believe he said the two were not related.

Got this from my brother. Politics aside, it is pretty cool and I hope Mamadou gets to do this.

Our friends' adopted son who is currently at UCI sent Obama a letter saying that he would like to go "one-on-one" with him if he decides to speak at UCIs graduation ceremonies...
It just came out today that Obama will speak at UCI's graduation, but no word on any one on one going on.
The reason given for speaking at UCI is that it is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary and 50 years ago Johnson spoke at the dedication and it was the beginning of "The Great Society".
