28 Points?

Postby Terry Webster » Mon Sep 12, 2005 11:02 am

I saw in the USA today that we are a 28 point underdog. Hope that gives the team some more motivation...not that they need it! Kick some butt ponies!!

Playing in Aggie Land

Postby MFFL02 » Mon Sep 12, 2005 2:40 pm

Kyle Stadium is a big time stadium that holds over 82,000. It is a very very tough place to play. If SMU can keep the game close than I think that would validate the TCU game and give this team some real credibility.

A win at A&M and beware top 25 voters.
I miss Troy Matthews.

no, even if we were to beat tamu there would be no way anyone would be giving us votes for the top 25, it will all be about how overrated TCU, and tamu were, but the discussion is moot because we are going to need some absolute miracles to win in college station. I want to win, but I just don't see it being likely.

There may be 82,000 in the stands but there are only 11 on the field! Yea, baby! Woo!!!!!!!!
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Exact same thing I said before the TCU game also, and then as now I will be happy as hell to be wrong (again), but I don't see us being able to pull the upset two weeks in a row, especially not on the road at tamu when we haven't won a road game since we played at UTEP in 2002. tamu is better, has had two weeks to prepare, and doesn't have another big game on a short week to distract them from playing us. I will be incredibly happy if it doesn't get ugly.

If SMU can muster any offense, I like the defense's chances of holding the Aggie$ scoring down and making that 28 pts hard to cover. I'd still keep my money in my pocket. Hard to tell which SMU team will show up but you know the Aggie$ will be geeked for their opener...especially after that heartbreaking loss at Clemson. And...we know Fran loves to run up a score when he can

aTm has QB problem

Postby Sam I Am » Mon Sep 12, 2005 7:45 pm

aTm has an overated QB who under achieves at times. The SMU defense looks real and might can contain the Aggies unless we have too many turnovers. Ordinarily I would rate us a 28 point underdog, but not this time. If we had good special teams, we could make a run at this game - but not this year.

Guys - everyone relax. We ain't beating the aggies at home. They have a much larger and better OL then TCU - and we saw what happens to us in the third quarter vs a big active OL in our first game (and that was Baylor!!) - these are top recruits four yrs deep. I think we are going to have a fun and surprisingly good year - we match up well vs other CUSA teams - but we do not match up well vs the tp of the big 12.

Beat the line with no injuries and its a victory

2 people who did not play vs Baylor who I would love to have make me look stupid next monday - Mr. Martin and Mr. Muse.

IMO, A&M is damn good but NOT 'the top of the Big XII'.

I'm sure they'll try to run it up, but Fran's A$$ies have lost 5 of their last 6 games. This is pretty much the same team that folded in the Cotton Bowl, 38-7.

Bennett should tell the team to relax, have FUN and knock some helmets off. No one is giving us a chance anyway.
