I love his ability to score. We need scorers regardless of position.

Probably not a fair comparison, but he reminds me a little of Derrick Rose. Maybe not as fast, but he likes to drive and has a decent shot. Good competitor. A bit surprised that one recruiting service has him as a 3 star. I'd say high 4 star no doubt. Work ethic won't be a problem - I know the family. They are a sports/athletic family.

They won state regionals. In OT. First time in school history. Beat the top seed. 2nd game won in OT during these playoffs. 21 points and 5 assists. Kid's a winner. Next is state finals. State championship in Sacramento on Friday.

How other Texas 2015 guys doing? Elijah Thomas team still playing? Others?

They play my alma mater and will have their hands full. Our only loss was to our rivals in overtime by 3. Very disciplined and well coached team. Sedrick is going to have to go off for them to win this.

Lancaster (Thomas) lost to eventual state champion Dallas Kimball. In one of the earlier playoff games Thomas went for 39 points and 20 boards. Dallas Madison (Gilder) won the 3A state championship for the second year in a row. Gilder was named MVP. Plano West (Hogg) went out early.

Barefield's team lost in the Cali state championship game last night. He had 16 points. The other team just went super hot from the 3 pt line. 66-55. Their opponent's were the Mustangs.
