Quickest way from IAH to Kyle Field

Anyone know? Mapquest suggests going south and then up through Prairie View...seems like it would be quicker to go north to Conroe & then west. Anyone make/has made the drive at some point who has suggestions? I guess we could ask Coach B...

Go FM 1960 to 249 to head NW. Went to a Longview vs. Cy-Fair playoff
game that way a long time ago with my brother who lives near the FM
1960-249 intersection. 249 doesn't make it all the way though.

MM65 might can give you more directions since he used to live off of
FM1960. Why fly into IAH when CS has an airport????

B/c one has to connect at IAH anyway, and with time b/t flights, changing from the big terminal to the small terminal, etc. etc., plus the short flight, the ninety minutes or so it'll take to drive will have already elapsed anyway. No nonstops from McAllen to CS, I'm afraid. Only Dallas, Houston, Mexico City & Vegas.
