Martin Calls Out Craig James

Did anyone else notice this quote in the DMN article today?

"I don't want to talk about my day; it was our day," Martin said. "We showed [former SMU great] Craig James and anybody else who was doubting us, we're a good team."

Personally, I think it's awesome. These guys really do seem to be coming together as a team.

Not sure after one game, that Martin needs to be calling anybody out. Sure hope Martin can have another big week - if he is going to criticize a member of the Pony Express backfield. The team is only 1-1 and has now won games in a little over 3 seasons.

Pony Snob has long been known as an avid TCU supporter that uses every opportunity to repeatedly overstate the obvious (ie: "SMU only won three games last year."), degrade SMU at every opportunity ("SMU will be lucky if 4,000 fans show up".), and/or promote TCU in any way possible ("The TCU model is superior." "Amon Carter-East will be completely purple on Saturday as the frog invasion arrives."). Even his name is intended to demean SMU. I don't think he has ever posted anything positive, relevant, or remotely interesting. And he completely disappears when anything good happens and he is all over the place when SMU is beaten down. What I find interesting is his belief that he is working undercover on our board. Pony Snob was the person who broke the news that SMU has only won four games over the last two years! Pony Snob also broke the story that SMU football has been bad for the last 15 years. This guy has a nose for a scoop. Don't get too excited over this troll as, once you understand that it is his intention to covertly spread mindless, worthless negativity, he is just a pitiful soul.

He's not calling James out. He's making a note of the fact that James (and Dickerson) have been critical of the program since their days in the Pony Express. While some of that criticism has been justified, it appears that James likes to make fun of his alma mater on national TV. And that doesn't sit well with a lot of us in the Mustang Nation. I'm one of 'em. And I'm glad to see that one (if not more!) of the current Mustang football team feels the same way! Way to go, Martin! GIVE THE AGGIES HELL ON SATURDAY, TOO!

Craig James is an idiot. No offence intended towards SMU fans. I think he has made himself believe that he played at Texas A&M since his daughter attends. He is the biggest jerk in college football today, and likes sucking BCS c#%k. He is biased towards all non BCS schools not only you. You should have heard his comments during the Oregon-UH game. Bastard!! And a SMU alumni who talks bad about his own alma mater is a queer.
