Being from Northwest Indiana I don't get much SMU news, is the big center that SMU started earlier in the year available or is he still hurt? Seems like if he can play this might be a good time for him, thanks for the imput!

Seems like the general consensus on here is that the big man you speak of (Yanick) is healthy but lost his playing time to the other big guys and hasn't earned it back (for whatever reason). He has played sparingly and looks healthy enough but it's hard to say for sure why he isn't playing more. I think everyone would like him to play more than he is if he is truly healthy and back in game shape.

i think it is safe to say that if all three of these guys are really NBA worthy that LSU would still be playing in a different tournament than this one.

Same issue here that we had against UCI. We won't be able to crowd the post on offense, we need to create more space. That means that Cunningham and Ben are going to see a lot of time at the 4, and MK, Williams and maybe YM are going to rotate out. If YM plays, it is going to be at the expense of Shawn Williams, and LB isn't going to do that to the guy in what could be his final home game.

That spacing adjustment will be made pretty quickly after the game starts IMHO.

LSU's season has been very disappointing. I think all three will get a chance at some point in their career to play in the NBA. The crazy thing is Jarell Martin who has been the third best this season has the highest upside. NBA scouts have been salivating over him for a couple years now.

O'Bryant has led the SEC in post scoring the past two years by pretty significant margins. He has legitimate NBA post moves but 6'9" has hindered his NBA projectability. Still, likely to enter draft after this season. Mickey is still considering leaving this season and would likely be a late 1st to second round pick, but what he does, he does well. Very nice mid-range jump shot and plays exciting defense. Also a good rebounder.

final home game? Nice optimism. You realize we are favored, right?

we play to win. Who cares who is a senior or not. Start the guys that give you the best chance to win. If Shawn, great. If not - too bad.

Agreed. I think Shawn would rather continue the season than get more playing time. Seems like an unselfish guy. Really liked his energy in the first half vs Louisville at home. If he brings that, keep him in there!
