I'd live in Waco before I lived in San Francisco

Sorry East, not with you on that one. San Fran could be really great with the right budget. There is no amount of money that would make Waco great.

F that, San Francisco is fun as hell to party in. Expensive for sure but it's a good time.

I spent my later HS years in Palo Alto when my family relocated - it was a culture shock coming from Dallas, but I actually enjoyed my time there. And when my folks retired in Carmel, it was even better...

Waco is best seen through a rear view mirror. Period.

I have been to San Francisco several times. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the country but they are on a different wave link out there. San Francisco makes Austin look normal.
I also believe AT&T Park is one of the best looking ballparks in all of baseball. I would go back just to see a game.

I love visiting SF, great city and plenty of things to do. Plus you get the added benefit of being relatively close to Sonoma and Napa. What could be worse than living in Waco? Admittedly, I've never ventured far out west Texas to see Lubbock or El Paso. Maybe that's worse because they're further away from any civilization.

Worse than Waco -> Lubbock. Waco is close to Austin and Dallas. Lubbock is close to Dirt Roads.
