i think there will be a LOT more east of Central. Some housing, and quite a bit more than that.
i think the soccer field goes to the football practice field and IPF goes where Wescott is.

Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014Well if June didn't like the idea of an IPF on the other side of Mockingbird, I'll bet he loves the idea of it being off Dyer St. (assuming he's here).
Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014Wow. So many great memories. I really hope this works out for the best.

Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014
Sounds like the campus will end up with so many buildings cramped into limited space that the campus will lose its beauty.
Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014The university just took out an entire residential block west of campus. Anybody know what's going in there?

Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014SMU was so broke in the 60s that they sold off most of the land from the PE fields by Moody all the way to North Central. Now they have bought it all back with the Bush Center being in the middle of what use to be open land then crummy apartment buildings. Now they own all the land around the former Mrs. Beard's, buildings and land between N. Central and Greenville and posted herein is word that they now have projects taking up a full block which used to be residential housing. My oh my have times changed.
Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014
Seriously? Wow. I might have to take a drive around there soon to see what is up. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Natatorium closing forever April 1, 2014Here is the most recent SMU Master Facilities Plan for our Dallas Campus. Note the area east of No. Central on SMU Blvd., which is the presumed location for a new Natatorium.

Ponyboy, can you tell us specifically which street. Didn't realize SMU's expansion plans included land west of campus.
