Exactly. I'm surprised at how loud the fans were, if we only had around 100-1500 there. Hard to believe that our fellow SMU fans got so rowdy! Awesome.

It was definitely loud on ESPN2 on my TV. Very very impressive. Let's take it up to "an 11" tomorrow night. Everyone who can, PLEASE get to the Garden and be LOUD!! throughout the game. This is a golden opportunity to truly put SMU on the map that we haven't had in over 25 years (primetime on ESPN with no other games - let's blow out Minnesota and be LOUD doing it!!).

I believe we had almost 1,500 fans. A number came directly from work and didn't have any of our colors on. Also, I bet the average age was 50+ years, many wanted to see us win once again-- before...no one I saw this AM had much of a voice left!

This is very true - it was a "win before I die"/antediluvian (meaning pre-DP) SMU crowd generally. But very fired up.

Something else that I think helped was that the SMU contingent was fairly consolidated in the arena, while the Clemson crowd was pretty spread out.
Credit goes to Mustang Club, NYC Alumni and others who very quickly put everything in place for us to get group seating. It made for a much more enjoyable experience and stronger fan support for the team.

Two different times, when SMU fans were being shown, a Clemson fan sitting in front of them, stood up and blocked the picture. But it was great hearing SMU being yelled so loud. This probably helped to motivate our guys!

It's fine if you do that and you're a 22 y/o jacka*s. But that guy was a middle-aged round-in-the-middle turd. Saw him do it twice on TV. What a loser.

This paragraph from the Associated Press coverage of the game sums it up: "SMU trailed 41-28 early in the second half but erased the deficit with a 17-4 spurt as chants of 'SMU! SMU!' rang out in the Garden." SMU rallies past Clemson 65-59 in NIT semifinalshttp://bit.ly/1ecegKN
