Tolbert coming shows that turner is not. We're using the other ship on someone that can shoot the ball. Hopefully McCaw if you ask me
I think it's flawed that we can't get a shooter AND add Turner. (2 seniors plus JJ plus 1 attrition, so that's Mudiay, Turner, Tolbert and someone like McCaw). Scholarships are renewed each year and we aren't going to run off JM, but are both Dunleavy AND Wilfong both walk ons? Pretty sure one of them is but not both? Dunleavy probably has the means to pay his own way.

There are three scholarships open. 2 have been filled. We will not be taking Jean Michael of scholarship. We have one more spot in the class.
My opinion is the scholarship is Turner's if he wants it. So I don't expect any of those shooters to sign with us until after Myles figures out what he wants to do.

No, both are walk ons. Turner isn't coming here. We have too many bigs that will be in the rotation. He wants his guaranteed minutes. There's not even any minutes for Yanick right now. Tolbert coming in means it's just as crowded, not to mention the fact the B Moore will be another year older and more mature. Gonna be hard to keep him on the bench if he adds some muscle in the offseason. Bottom line, y'all need to move on. We have arguably the best PG in the country coming. Be excited and don't act like a bunch if entitled Kentucky fans. All the "I don't understand why he would go anywhere else" crap needs to stop. It's halfway embarrassing that there are still ongoing threads about this guy when we've never been on his list. Is our fan base that disillusioned or are we just stupid? Maybe it's desperation to be good because we've sucked for so long, but that doesn't make it less ridiculous.

I could not agree more with this statement!! We are starting to act greedy like every top prospect has to come here (ie Kentucky) We do have the best PG coming here, could we have imagined that 3 years ago?? I don't think so, lets be grateful for what we have, which is more than most teams

I wish there was a requirement that absolute statements like "Turner isn't coming here" were qualified with either "I know this to be true" or "this is my opinion." BIG difference.

If Turner chooses SMU, I wouldn't be surprised to see Yanick bail

Its amazing what happens with momentum in recruiting. I've seen it happen so many times. Great recruits aren't intimidated by competition. Alabama has had No. 1 recruiting classes for about 4 straight years. They want to play with the best coaches and a great supporting cast. SMU signed the No. 1, 2 and 3 RBs in Texas in Dickerson, James, Waggoner to play the same position in SMU's I Formation plus Michael Charles another Top 100 RB. Then they followed up a couple of years later with Reggie Dupard a National Gold Chip. Next year they got No. 1 RB in Texas in Jeff Atkins. If Turner wants to commit, we'll make room in the Class and on the floor-you don't give up until he says NO about 5 times- then move on. There are other scholarship players other than Mudiay on the team-one Crandall Head has barely gotten off the bench this month. I'm not a big fan of that-wish NCAA would outlaw practice-but Larry Brown will do what is necessary if Turner wants to be a Mustang. Brown is trying to build a National Championship not a Sweet 16-to do that he needs the elite talent
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Please document your source. You have said this a number of times and I can only assume you have inside information. Please share it with the rest of us.

Here is Bossi's latest take on the situation. "I think it is still very tight between Kansas and Texas and I would assume that Kansas has been recruiting Turner for a while on the assumption that Embiid will go to the NBA. Still, if I had to call it I'd give a slight edge to Texas. I think proximity could end up being a big deal. Neither the Longhorns or Kansas would surprise me and to a lesser extent I wouldn't be shocked by SMU. Anybody else, I'd be pretty surprised right now." And here is a quote from an article written after his Texas visit. David said his son is officially considering nine schools at this point. Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio state, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas, and Texas A&M. "Yeah, SMU and A&M are both on the list," David said. http://zagsblog.com/recruiting/myles-tu ... y-arizona/
