I actually feel bad for Rich Pitino, whose dad was literally yelling plays at his team. I'd be p1ssed if my dad treated me like that in front of my own team and I'm sure Rich was, too.

Other than that, we (fans) shouldn't be too broken up about the loss. At the end of the day, this postseason wasn't about winning a second-rate championship. Gaining experience in high-pressure, neutral-site, elimination games, in addition to all the extra practices and minutes played, is what mattered, and the team accomplished that.

I am sure Rick couldn't help himself. As a youth coach and league administrator, I can't help myself watching my games or games I am just watching-just keep offering help even when I commit to keeping my mouth shut. I bet Rick regrets it doubly so because it took the spotlight from his kid.

as competitive as Larry is this has to have really bugged him. I think it would be great fun to play Louisville in the tourney next year with us reloaded and them with no Russ Smith.

Pitino Sr. embarrassed his kid on national TV last night. ESPN took it to a new level by giving him more face time than Richard. I do feel bad for Richard especially at the end when Rick was basically coaching the game from the first row. Sickening.

Who cares? I don't think it's the first or last time a coach has received assistance from another coach. In fact, I think that happens every day. If my son were to work in the same field as me, I'd damn sure give him advice, too.
