Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkI ran into a the Indiana basketball strength and condition coach at Nodding Donkey on saturday. He confirmed the game at Indiana next year is part of a small tournament.

Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkWould love for us to get a conference challenge going with the Pac-12.

Bring on the "Big East" instead, let's slap around Georgetown or Nova
Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkThree different opportunities to return to the Big Apple on that list. I know I'd go for one. My guess is that LB would push for it as well. It might actually be to our benefit to have a bit of an open dance card right now.

Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkAre we even participating in one of those?
Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkNot as of now. But if you go to my original link you will see that spots remain to be filled out in all.

Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkWhat are we thinking? Didn't we learn from this season, we need to schedule more tough games...especially with Louisville leaving our conference.
Why aren't we playing Wichita St on a neutral site like Memphis is doing? Why does Memphis see the light but we don't? I miss Troy Matthews.
Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great linkGetting invited to one (or two) of the early season tourneys should serve us far better than scheduling the dog meat we've had in the past. Even though you may not have control over exactly who you see during the course of one of these events they are generally stacked with the mid-range teams (50-150?) that we need to be scheduling. Plus there is far better TV exposure in these events.

Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great link
Why do you think we will not be scheduling better? Have you seen our schedule? If so, could you share it with the rest of us?
Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great link
Two reasons I would prefer the Pac-12 over the BE - 1. I think the Pac-12 is a better conference. 2. I believe we could use more exposure on the west coast. With LB and our conference mates we've already established and identity in the east. Most of the west coast still sees us as lil WAC SMU. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great link
The danger with scheduling a team like Wichita state is that if they lose a few conference games, it will scuttle their RPI. They're not going to go 34-0 again and there is even more garbage in the Missouri Valley than the bottom of the AAC. BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: 2014-2015 Early Season tournaments: Great link
That's a good point. I would much rather schedule a top 20 ACC or Big 10 school than a top 20 Wichita St. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
