What the heck is going on? Are we offering any kids? Are we keeping commitments quiet? Seriously I am beginning to get real worried about our 2015 class. Is June giving up because he won't be the coach in 2015?
The WDNWHA committee has been preoccupied with the basketball run and it has kept them from their football duties. Once they are able to rule on a few of these highly rated recruits we've offered, the DIRs will begin to commit. Just be patient.

Don't worry. It won't be any worse than the 2014 class.
Hopefully the next coach will have enough time to pull in some 3-star or higher recruits with whatever time he has left before signing day + transfers.

Wait, when the [deleted] did you join the committee?? They still won't even TALK to ME!
We have a reasonable shot at one kid that excites me-RB Aca'cederic Ware from Desoto who has been projected at a Texas Top 20. I'm not saying we'll get him just that he was impressed with the school, the contacts with Jason Phillips and the young LB Coach and matching the things he's apparently looking for in a school. Truthfully, our recruiting services have been so poor its hard to come up with many more top Texas Top 100 type recruits seriously considering SMU. Hopefully, we might have a shot at some kids at Prime Prep (WRJames Proche) and Houston Lamar (CB Holton Hill) based on past success

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

He is not on the committee. Just giving an opinion.

What's going on is business as usual. Wouldn't bother worrying too much about the 2015 class right now because the real work will begin in December when the new HC gets here (any commitments we take now will likely be rescinded anyway).
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

I would say worse than usual. Had a couple of quality recruits in March last year
JJ's the oddest recruiter in NCAA history, but I'm not sure what to expect recruiting-wise from any coach who knows it's his last year.
I do believe we'll exceed expectations on the field. That's not a statement of depth of talent as much as it's based on the fact that JJ is a competitive individual and a wizard when he wants to be, a guy who can turn iron into gold. I expect a bowl game and maybe even a bigger splash. It'll be a way of keeping his reputation intact.
I don't know that it's aiming high or low. It seems that the coaches don't give a damn who else has offered a kid. If they like him, they'll offer. Sometimes they hit, sometimes they miss. But it seems like they view their own evaluation above what others think, which I assume most or all coaches do.
