Avery Johnson Jr Commits to A&M

Postby Pony147 » Sun Apr 13, 2014 5:14 pm

Per his twitter:
Avery johnson Jr ‏@itsaveryjohnson Apr 12
After a long & difficult recruiting process, I have committed to play Basketball at Texas A&M become a Student-Athlete there..GIG EM

I know we weren't going to offer him a scholarship, but weren't we trying to get him to walk on? Oh well. I just hope we get everyone else at Plano West :)

The WDNWHA committee ruled on Jr. a long time ago. btw, I seriously doubt A&M gave him a scholarship. I bet he's an invited walk-on.

Living in College Station must be even more miserable without a scholarship.

That's what I assume, but I haven't seen anything either way. Do you have a link?

No link, but I have seen him play in person. He is not a D1 level basketball player.
