Thanks.

What this kid has to understand, as they all do, is that all these "star" coaches were mentored by Brown himself. Self, Cal, Hollie, etc. Why get sloppy seconds? Brown won't be coaching much longer, NOW's the chance to learn from one of the few true masters left (learned from Maguire and Dean Smith who learned from the guy who got mentored by the freakin' INVENTOR OF THE SPORT).

Not rocket science . . . if you actually want to learn the game.

If it was JUST coaching, Larry Brown would be the obvious choice, but its not. Kids want to play in front of huge crowds and an amazing atmosphere... Moody has improved tremendously but it's still no Allen Fieldhouse

But his parents will be able to see him play every game at Moody and not at Allen Fieldhouse.

I am just very comfortable with the bigs that we have right now in Markus and Yanick (who will bounce back to have a big year in 2014-2015). With Cannen contributing off the bench in the rotation we do not have to have MT.

IMO, we need a sniper more than Turner. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him but our current roster is a 2 or 3 who can fill it up away from something special.

This.

If Keeeeth can become more reliable and with Sterling looking to shoot a bit more (while maintaining his percentages from this year), I am comfortable with what we have (I would like to have more 3pt shooters like Nic of course but you have to ask what are you willing to give up to get it - as you would have to give up something).

For me, I just want most guys on the floor to have a reliable jump shot (the more 3 pt snipers the better of course -- I'd want 2 on the floor at all times). But I just want most of my guys to be able to hit an open jump shot pretty reliably (Cannen can . . . of course Nic can . . . Keeeth and Sterling can . . . Manuel no, Yanick no, and MK no . . . Tolbert seems to be ok out to about 10-12 feet from what I've seen/read . . . Eman won't be too reliable from 3 pt land but I'm personally ok with that given all the other tools he has . . . Myles is actually probably a better shooter but I'm just not a big fan of my 7 footer taking a lot of jump shots -- some is ok and having the versatility is awesome, but if I am in bad need of a shooter I'd rather get it from a 2 or 3 who is money from 3 pt land).

It would also be nice to add another rebounder and shot blocker; a versatile big man who can be in with another big man from time to time. Three pointers are nice but control of the paint is a pretty awesome.

I think you just described Tolbert. Plus, I look for Yanick to work his arse off over the summer and hopefully he be the guy we expected him to be this year.

I would love to find a DeAndre Daniels type player- a 3 who can stretch out the defense with his range and can take it to the hole. I know with what is remaining at the HS level, a player like Daniels would probably have to come from JUCO. If we could find a player like that, it would give us four really good offensive options in our starting lineup - Eman, Nic, Markus and mystery recruit. Then have Tolbert or Yanick in the middle.

Now you are talking. I was going to respond to your Sniper point by saying that the new Sniper might never play. That's Frazier's role-he's going to have to step up like he was beginning to do at end of season. . We've got Moore and Sterling who really shot the 3 pretty darn well for a true freshman. What we really could use is SF that could hit 3s or a guy like Hancock at Louisville. An 18 year old Dirk wouldn't hurt.

You're right in that the big issue with a freshman guard sniper is will they play defense well enough to make LB happy (see Brian B)? A Hancock or Daniels type guy would be ideal. There are only four of the Rivals top 150 uncommitted. I'm sure the staff is all over the JUCO prospects.

Luke Hannock played defense as if he had a blind fold on the whole time. Daniels? Yes please!
