Significant increase, but not gouging I'd say. I like the increase in donation required seats.

Notice the fine print under the pricing:

New Season Ticket holders will pay the donation amount per seat.

Buying 4 seats in the $500 donation level? Must have a $2,000 donation.

The fine print is very interesting. I only have to pay $250 donation for my block of four football tickets, not $250 donation for each seat.

Those of you who are thinking that you can buy these tickets and then sell a couple games on stubhub to break even will probably be out of luck.

I doubt that you're going to want to sell your Arkansas, Memphis, Cincy, and UCONN tickets. Otherwise, the other tickets that you'll have to sell won't be all that valuable.

emphasis on "NEW" season ticket holders. I'm assuming though that this is not a separate donation that must be made from the Football donation?

I'd consider it a gouge

I sat in 214 for $140 per seat last year. Now I will have to pay $500 Per Seat.

I would consider over a 300% increase sort of a gouge....I expected them to go up 75% and maybe double in price. If my section didn't require a donation and now does and I required to pay the donation for all my seats or just once?????????

I talked to someone at the ticket office this morning about the new prices. Your initial Mustang Club donation in football counts towards basketball. I believe I heard this correctly. The ticket timeline seems to have moved back a month. I asked when I (not a last year season ticket holder) would be able to purchase tickets and she said maybe June more than likely July. It seems like demand is sky high, which is great for SMU and I'm happy to see it, but will suck for people who do not get the opportunity to purchase.

I think this must not mean that you have to pay $500 per seat for a sideline seat, that must mean per 4 seats. No way they charge a donation of $2500 for up to 4 club seats and $2000 for 4 sideline seats. I think it is not worded well. Plus, note the asterisk is a single asterisk on the table and a double asterisk in the footnote.

I would not consider this final until they email it out.

This is absolutely price gouging. Like sacklunch mentioned, 214 is where all my buddies who are young alumni sit and jacking those up to $500 is probably going to mean some of them won't buy them anymore. Everything is on tv now as well, so it's not like two years ago when if you wanted to see a game you had to go. See everyone leaving the blvd to watch the game at Barley (Yes I know Ford vs Moody is a totally different experience, but still)

Be careful Mr. Hart.... part of what made moody packed every game was how affordable it was.

For new season ticket holders, I think they absolutely mean donation of $2,500 per seat + cost of ticket ($1,000). I can't believe they're gouging new season ticket holders like that. Pretty ridiculous imo and not a good business model. I think the people that already have their tickets are going to be grandfathered in with only paying one donation for all 4 seats but all new ticket holder will pay multiple donations, one donation for each seat.

The other ironic part is the schedule is worse this year so to speak by quite a bit with Louisville being gone and replaced by a team like ECU or Tulsa....So there's one less "big" game on the slate.
