Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:$250 Season Ticket
$250 Donation $20 a seat per game ($17.36 each for 2 seats) if allocating donation 50% to both FB and BB "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:I'm happy with this new deal.
I appreciate the fact SMU is respecting the people who were on board before we turned into a hot property. That is a sign of loyalty to those who have been loyal to the program. ![]()
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:Just got off the horn with the SMU ticket office. . . For the 2014/15 season it is a one time donation of $250 to the Mustang Club, plus $250 per seat. . . $750 total for my 2 seats in the 207 baseline.
She also indicated in the future it will be a $250 donation to the Mustang Club (per seat). I will more than likely renew my season tickets for the upcoming season. But, if it's a game that my family or friends can't make. I will find somebody to take the extra ticket. But, you better be prepared to "Pony Up." Or else the ticket will get in the hands of a 3rd party. I won't even think twice if that person purchasing the seat is a fan of SMU. Or, a fan of the team that SMU is playing that game. Not a {Gary Fatterson}ing happy camper with this news. 2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:
Just to clarify...the $250 MC donation is only based on if you are a first-time season ticket holder. If you currently have both football and basketball season tickets, then your MC donation will be counted toward hoops for 14-15. Also, whatever she told you about the MC donation per seat is not correct. It's a one-time donation just like it is with football.

Sec 207, 2nd row. Didn't have to pay a $250 donation to the Mustang Club. Season tickets were $125 per seat (split between Garland & Moody). Explained what my situation was. And she told me it was $250 per seat (same as the Moody diagram. Also, have no problem with the increase from $125 to $250). She said I was "grandfathered" in, but there was a $250 donation to the Mustang Club. . . Even though I didn't have to make a donation for the baseline seats last year. She also stated in the future new season ticket holders that it would be $250 donation PER SEAT. Last edited by LHS81 on Tue Apr 29, 2014 4:34 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:OK, you're right. Yikes.
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:
Yeah, this is a joke how much they raised them. Wonder what happens if LB doesn't sign a monster haul for this year and Mudiay jumps, players graduate and the team is not top 25...along with the ho-hum home schedule.
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:This isn't friggin Columbus Ohio. Its a major metropolitan area. We have 7,000 seats available for top twenty basketball in a market of 6 million people. Many home games. Schedule doesn't matter when our own team is the top twenty team.
These are not expensive seats given the math.
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:I don't really see what the problem is here. This is capitalism at its finest. You have a widget, and this widget is now in high demand, while there is no way of raising supply. If you don't like the price of the new widget, don't buy it.
Don't want to spend the money, there will be someone standing right behind you waiting to take them. We can talk about the ifs, ands, buts and what not, but at the end of the day, this is a business and they are doing what any business should do with a widget this hot. The fact that they are "grandfathering" ticket holders in is more than generous. "If the Queen had [deleted]'s, she'd be King"
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:At least we don't have to worry about this happening to football tickets for the foreseeable future......../
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:Looks like I really screwed up by donating the cost of my season tickets to the Mustang Club instead of renewing them last year because I was moving from Dallas....
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:
Seats at Ohio State are 10K PER SEAT PSL for anything in the lower bowl and club level, plus season ticket cost. So please spare me the Columbus, OH b/s but thank you for the concern. That has nothing to do with it prices being raised ridiculously. Top 20 for next year, assuming things go to plan. You act like the team just hung a Final Four banner and while I don't doubt in any way that SMU has a good shot at it next year, it's not like that team will look the same in 2015-16 or the following year. Prices will.
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:The only thing that irks me was that I couldn't attend the seat selection event when Moody reopened but asked for my same seats. Instead they moved me "closer" to mid court but my view is worse than I had. I was going to ask to move back, but now it doesn't look like I will be able to without paying a premium even though I just want to be on the other end of the row.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
Re: 2014 Ticketing Info:I'm sure all 15 (?) rows of Moody would fit nicely into the bottom bowl of Ohio St.-that's part of SMU 's problem competing against the better programs of the NCAA. We probably have the smallest arena of Top 50 teams-probably Gonzaga
