You're 100% correct, it is a huge disadvantage to lay out proper pricing and raise them the correct way due to the capacity. It's also a major advantage because it gives an awesome home court that a big stadium like Rupp or OSU will never have (believe me, people b*tch about it all the time). The biggest issue I have is the pricing structure and the way it was raised into the Duke stratosphere after one successful season. And they are "grandfathering" season ticket holders in which is the absolute correct thing to do, but it's still a substantial raise with or without donation on tickets alone.

GONZAGA SEASON TICKET PRICES for 2013-(they've sold out for 10 years in 6,000 seat arena)

The minimum donation/license is also $250 but has much higher levels too

Ticket packages range from $500 to $3,850, but only a few tickets become available each season.

Five people from the waiting list received tickets for the 2013 basketball season.

Season tickets have sold out 10 years in a row. The price tag for one ranges from $525 to nearly $4,000 for courtside seats.

Don't want to spend the money, there will be someone standing right behind you waiting to take them.

We can talk about the ifs, ands, buts and what not, but at the end of the day, this is a business and they are doing what any business should do with a widget this hot. The fact that they are "grandfathering" ticket holders in is more than generous.

FINE! If you want one of my seats on the 2nd row that goes unused. . . Prepare to "Pony up!" Like you said. . . "Capitalism at its finest!"

Instead they moved me "closer" to mid court but my view is worse than I had. I was going to ask to move back, but now it doesn't look like I will be able to without paying a premium even though I just want to be on the other end of the row.

I would check anyway, you might be able to make it happen.

Just wait until 2015-2016 when the MC donation is per seat -- for everyone!

I was told by the AD last year that they were absolutely not basing the 2013-2014 season prices on the half season in Garland, and that no major price rise would follow. That turned out to be a lie.

Good to hear they will actually be using the hall of fame club but i would have thought they might have waited a year to ticket gouge us.

I would think they will move one of the bigger games to AAC in 2015/16?

Are other schools separated on fball and bball donations?

So my 207 seats were $90 a piece (which was a steal) - but are now are $250 each

I had 2 seats in 207 as part of a 9 game package I bought for the screaming deal of $90 each. I know I would probably not be considered an actual season ticket holder, but as a MC contributor and 10+ year football season ticket holder, I hope I would get some priority over a truly "new" person purchasing tickets. Does anyone know?

I haven't received an e-mail from SMU yet, but I did get two separate messages during the season (one from Chase Hover) about being contacted concerning 2014-2015 season tickets once they were available.

I get that, and understand I will pay more. I was just wondering how the ticket office will consider my current "status". Technically, I am not a current season tickets holder, but I should not be considered "new" either.

You'll have priority based on mustang club points and be slotted after season ticket holders from last when they get to:

1) renew, and
2) upgrade and add more seats (this will also be done based on priority points with existing season ticket holders)

If you've been in the Mustang Club for 10 years you probably have a ton of priority points. So you'd be fairly early on that list once they move past us folks who drove to Garland. I'd figure out how many you have. Think there are about 20,000 people with priority points, try to gauge where you are there (I'm completely average according to my conversations with the ticket office last year).

That said, I'm sure there are plenty of people like me who are wanting to add a few of the cheap seats to our existing seats. Who knows how this will all shake out.

Makes sense. Thank you. I doubt I will get my seats or maybe even my current section, and I know I will pay more; was just trying to figure how much more and when. I'll call the ticket office to make sure I am indeed on the waiting list and see how it shakes out from there.
