Houston gets Purdue transfer“@BSnowScout: Ronnie Johnson to Houston is big, gives Kelvin Sampson a proven high-major point guard he can build aroundâ€

Re: Houston gets Purdue transferI had the chance to watch him play in person back in February--decently talented player. He should really help out the UH program. I'm sure he's happy to get away from the tire fire that is Purdue basketball.

Re: Houston gets Purdue transferThey could use him this year but I guess he'll have to sit out this season

Re: Houston gets Purdue transferEff Houston. I hope they are dog [deleted] next year and forever after. If their football and bball program die, I wouldn't be too sad about it either.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
Do I want to beat them in everything forever? Yup. Do I want them to be a dumpster fire every year? Nope. Our conference needs to be legitimate. Hell if they went undefeated in OOC next year (which obviously will not happen), that would be the best thing for the conference AND OUR RPI BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
No, I hope they lose every game. You know that old saying, "I wouldn't even wish this on my worst enemy"? Well, I wish "this" on Houston. All week long and twice on Sunday.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transferugh ojaipony... you are dumb. we want our opponents, especially conference mates, to beat everyone except when they play us. it helps our RPI. if Houston beat a couple of decent teams last season, we would be in the tourney. dont be such a damn homer, its just obnoxious
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
No thanks.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transferCare to pass the bong ojai? Must be good stuff.

Re: Houston gets Purdue transferI'm with Ojaipony. Screw UH!
I want them to go o-fer in all their sports. I know the RPI argument but one team doesn't effect it that much. Hopefully another AAC team will pick up the pace and bring the league up. Screw UH! Pony 81
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
I agree with Ojai. I certainly don't root for other B10 schools, especially hated rivals no matter when or who they play.. F em. SMU takes care of business, it doesn't matter. If they took care of business last year against [deleted] teams in conference, it would have been irrelevant. So yeah, screw UH especially after they likely ended the NCAA bid.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
Difference is the B1G is already a legit conference with a good reputation. As we saw with the tourney selection, our conference doesn't have any respect yet. Everyone needs to be good to get us that respect. At that point, then yes, eff Houston. BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
True, one thing I do know is Sampson will win. Probation may be coming in 5 years, but that mofo wins and will do whatever it takes to win. So I don't think you're going to have to worry about it. That guy will cheat, host parties, whatever he needs to in order to win. He's won at every place he's been, I don't like him as a person but I wouldn't ever bet against that guy.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transfer
Knowing some Purdue Alums they're glad he's gone. He became uncoachable down the stretch.
Re: Houston gets Purdue transferIf there is one team I want to be terrible, it's UH. Plain and simple. Surely we can wish Tulane and ECU and USF and UCF will be competitive and help the league while being okay with UH bringing up the rear? That's an ideal scenario. If our league is average and we need UH to be salvagable to help us get over the top, sure let them do their thing. But I'm still hoping for my ideal scenario where they are terrible.
