Jerry made a questionable pick? Says who? Zack Martin was a four year starter at Notre Dame with position flex and widely considered to be the best value pick left on the board. After Barr and Donald were taken there wasn't a defensive lineman worth taking at 16 and reaching for a safety like Pryor would've been the wrong move. Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, Ronald Leary, and Travis Frederick are all starters and under the age of 25. Finally Dallas seems to be solidifying itself from the inside out and not the other way around.

And Cleveland got a steal with JF at 22.

Teddy Bridgewater to the Vikings with the last pick. I will take that. He can study behind Matt Cassel and Chris Ponder and the great Norv Turner.

And Anthony Barr from UCLA hopefully will help the linebackers because that part of the Viking D was brutal last year.

Agreed. For the first time in maybe forever Jerry played it smart. I think Zack Martin started something like 52 games during his college career. The Cowboys have shored up the offensive line. Now they can focus on the defense.

Agree. Like the Cowboys picks. The OL is important part of team. Hope we see a lot of D picks rest of draft.

one tackle is not "shoring up" the offensive line. Its a start.

Only changing GM's will save this team. There is no reason to pay attention to the Cowboys until that happens.

3 straight No. 1 Draft picks in the OLINE is pretty much shoring up Offensive Line

LOL. No reason to pay attention until they change GM's. You can say what you want about Jerry but last night he had the ultimate shiny new toy staring him right in the face and he made the correct decision to solidify the interior of the offensive line with the best available lineman. Travis Frederick last season and Tyron Smith in 2011 are two future Pro Bowl linemen. Dallas has as young and talented an OL as any team in football now.

I think it is 3 out of 4 years, but you are correct.

A lot of casual fans of football get caught up in the conference assocaiation or the "name" of the school. The problem at schools like SMU is so many of the fans look down upon themselves and their university when it is really big-time....just small attendance. Anybody have a comparison for the last four years for which Texas college football players from that time-frame have made NFL rosters? I bet SMU is near the top. Just not any first round selections. They had to earn it the old fashioned way.

Seems Dallas' pick was safe/solid…but only and I mean ONLY if Dallas chooses to run the ball rather than rely solely on Romo's arm to win close games. The last few years they have drafted O-line high, and then chose to pass in critical late game situations that cost them the game (think Green Bay last season) and thus a shot at the post-season. The Cowboys are a train-wreck from top to bottom, but the O-line will be solid because of decisions like last night…not that it will change the outcome on the field. Dallas and SMU seem to be muddled in the middle of their respective leagues, with no direction for a better outcome on the immediate horizon.

Just going by the eye test, Bridgewater was the best QB prospect this year in my opinion.
