How much is that fee???????
There is no fee typically. And LB probably gets a real nice kick-back for allowing Nike to sponsor them as with all good coaches. They pay him quite handsomely I'm sure. You can thank Sonny for that one.

I like the jersey mockup, but would suggest the Dallas skyline instead of Dallas Hall.
I would say the problem was the road jersey; the red jerseys were very generic. No issue with red personally, but the SMU unis were very meh.
DSelect Lacrosse has the Dallas skyline across the bottom of their jerseys and it looks pretty great. Completely different bit, it would look good.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Win a national title, become a Nike Elite program, get all the different uni choices. If you are Jordan brand, you are Jordan brand, which is not interchangeable w Nike. SMU hasn't won a title and they aren't Jordan brand, so they are part of Nike generic catalog. Not Jordan brand, not Nike elite.

I dont know the lingo - only elite programs are "Jordan Brand" and the rest are generic brand? - no mockups, nothing special? Does Adidas and UA do the same?

Only certain elite programs or programs somehow affiliated w/Michael Jordan, are Jordan brand. 'nike elite' is its own subset, a grouping of quality programs that have all won titles. 'Nike elite' program's get special perks b/c they brought honor to the swoosh lol. Everything else under the Nike umbrella wears generics see smu. UA has a much smaller roster,so everyone gets some customization, to a degree. maryland, the charter, gets as many uniforms as they have games. Adidas picks it marquee programs historically, and of the hour see Baylor,to run special uni's come tourney time

I created this mockup last year, along with a couple of SMU Nike Jordan Basketball shoe mockups (XI's and XII's). First off, the typeface I used for my mockup (and also is used on the current basketball jerseys) was first used during the Pony Express days. If it was good enough for Eric Dickerson, it should be good enough for us... I firmly believe this typeface lends the jersey a much more classic look, than the wordmark logo in our brand standards guide. I personally do not have a problem with our basketball uniforms now. From all of the pictures of the SMU basketball uniforms from the past, these current uniforms are the best. I would like to see blue away jerseys. I am fine with the Dallas Hall logo on the collar, sure the Peruna logo would make more sense. The black Nike logo is unacceptable. I believe this a great example of the main problem with Nike. It seems they just do a half [deleted] job. Nothing seems to be really thought out or custom. It seems they send us non custom template products. They throw a logo on it and call it a day. I think we can all agree the basketball uniforms are much better than the football uniforms.
What typeface/font is the old pony express "SMU"? Wish we used it for everything. Much better than the generic Princeton block font (virtually the same as TCU). Boring.

I do not know the exact typeface name. The closest I have found is SF Collegiate, which can be downloaded from here http://www.fontspace.com/shyfoundry/sf-collegiate. Below is an image I made to show different styles of the wordmark with this typeface/font. Top logo is Pony Express Era Jersey Middle Logo is current SMU Basketball Jersey Bottom Logo is font with no styling or special treatment

How you describe Nike is exactly the protocol. Smu falls into the 'choose from one of the templates' ' category . We make the best out of what's in the bin, but in no way a priority partner

Exactly. You can go to the Nike uniform design site ( http://niketeam.nike.com/us/en_US) and see the basketball templates. We wore the "Fadeaway" template last season, and I'm sure once the 2014-15 templates are loaded you will have a pretty good idea what we will look like next year. FYI, East Coast Mustang, it looks like the Nike site does not let you change the swoosh color, so the black swoosh is definitely on Nike and not a lazy designer at SMU. We had the same problem with women's soccer in 2010 and 2011 where the adidas logo defaulted to black on the adidas uniform design site, but you had the ability to change it and we just didn't. It drove me as crazy as the black swoosh does too.

Definitely want names on the back, but if Larry really wont have I wont complain.
I would like the jerseys to have imaging (light grey) on the back where the blank spot is like other big Nike programs, keep it simple and clean.
A blue alternate would be great, and a throwback would be so sweet. Something with the traditional shoulder straps and stripes around the arm holes and neck. Miss that jersey type altogether at all levels..
