BR's Jason King: Keeeeith Unhappy, but IS STAYING3. Multiple sources in Dallas have told me that SMU’s Keith Frazier is unhappy with the playing time he received as a freshman and is considering transferring. Frazier, the first McDonald’s All-American in Mustangs history, averaged 14.8 minutes per game in 2013-14 and contributed 5.4 points.
A 6’5†shooting guard, Frazier chose the Mustangs last spring over Texas Tech, Auburn and Texas A&M. Texas Tech and Auburn have since changed head coaches. Mustangs coach Larry Brown is trying his hardest to get Frazier to stay, sources said, but losing Frazier wouldn't be devastating to a squad that returns most of its key pieces while adding McDonald's All-American guard Emmanuel Mudiay. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2071 ... -nba-draft Last edited by Harry0569 on Thu May 22, 2014 7:42 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyI refuse to subscribe to Rivals/Scout, so I have no idea if this has been discussed before.
Also, Jason King is a legit NBA/CBB writer, so please don't dismiss it as just "BR bs." "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyMaybe Keith should have looked back and understood WHY his playing time was low. He was a terrible defender, erratic shooter and had some shaky handles. But if his posse is telling him everything but the truth, and he leaves, then he leaves.
We're in the big time of prima donna players who think they're all that when they're far from it. If Keith really can't see that, then he has no concept as to where he is as a player. This is a joke.
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyIf he stays focused, I honestly think that the minutes Keith desires will come for him next year. It will take work. I think he is fully capable of it.
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyDon't think this rumor has legs. Has been discussed on paysites. Biggest issue being that he would have to sit out a year.

He also can't drive to the basket. I can count on one hand the number of times that I saw him try to drive to the basket.
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith Unhappy
I just texted this exact thought to my friend. If he/his handlers want him to be the focal point of the offense, then so be it because it won't be here. He has neither the handles, nor the play making abilities to do it. Like you said, he was a terrible individual/team defender, which violates the staple of LB's coaching mantra. I hope he stays because LB and co. can mold him into a complete player, but if he wants to leave we have depth. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith Unhappyyou hate to lose a crowd favorite, but if it's true he wants minutes then I think it's safe to say he may well go the way of Jalen Jones (not necessarily to A&M). With Eman joining Little Nic and Sterling, I'm not overly concerned and I'm sure Crandall Head wouldn't mind the opportunity to earn more minutes in his final season
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappySounds like Bleacher Report BS to me....we'll see if any legit outlets pick this up

As I said, Jason King is a legitimate b-ball writer. After BR was acquired by Turner, it sunk money into hiring legitimate, well-respected basketball writers, like King. Being from Dallas, I'm sure he had some legitimate contacts to verify this story. Per his bio: College Basketball Lead Writer Jason King joined Bleacher Report and Turner Sports in December of 2013. Prior to that he was a national college basketball reporter at ESPN.com. He also spent four years covering college football and college basketball at Yahoo! Sports and was a longtime writer at The Kansas City Star. King's work has received mention in the popular book series "Best American Sportswriting" and he's been honored numerous times by the APSE, USBWA and FWAA. King has also authored two books, including the 2011 best-seller "Beyond the Phog: Untold Stories from Kansas Basketball's Most Dominant Decade." King grew up in Dallas and graduated from Baylor. He now resides in Kansas City. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."

Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyNothing more than Baylor using a Baylor alum to stir things up about SMU. This has Scott Drew written all over it
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyHarry- noted. But Turner paid a buttload to acquire BR and they need clickbait to generate traffic and up their revenues.
This story doesn't really jive with what we've seen from Keith recently. Maybe there's some legs to it, maybe not. I'll believe there are when I see it reported elsewhere 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: BR's Jason King: Keeeeith UnhappyI can't believe I am responding to a BR story, but...
This is obviously an easy story to sell, and I doubt there are any legs to it. If it is true it would be a shame both for SMU and KF, but we would not have any problem using the scholarship effectively if given the opportunity. Shake It Off Moody
