Ended up losing 3-2. That's pretty darn respectable against the top-ranked, defending national champions

Yes. What a nice season. Great way to finish if you can't win the whole thing.

Illinois/Stanford seems like a good match.

We will have to have at least one golf uniform thread next year before the season starts.

Sharp look today for sure.

Here is the SMU signing day release. I assume you are talking about Ben Baxter:

http://www.smumustangs.com/sports/m-golf/spec-rel/120213aaa.html

"We are very excited about the signings of both Ben and Ryan," Gregory said. "They will provide us great depth and should make an immediate impact for our program next fall. They both are also excellent students as well. We look forward to them becoming Mustangs, as they will be great assets to our program and our goals of competing for national championships."

Baxter is ranked 13th overall in the class of 2014 by GolfWeek Magazine, including second in the state of Texas. He competed in the 2013 U.S. Amateur Championships and won the Texas Junior Golf Tour TPC Four Seasons Invite. Baxter earned a total of three top-10 finishes in AJGA events, and took fifth at the 2013 HP Byron Nelson Junior.

Thanks for the info.

I suppose Baxter - as the 13th ranked HS player - is considered an upgrade over the graduating Higgs?
