Does *anything* I've ever posted on the man support that line of thinking? The fact is, people get upset when they *want* to hate someone but complex reality intrudes. So annoying to have to think for yourself. Best to go with the party line.

It's pretty damned near zero people on here who truly understand the man June Jones. But one example: He did not come here for the money.

You know to put your WADERS on when someone uses the pseudo-messiah word

Very few on here wanted to "hate" June Jones. He earned the way people talk about him on here through his actions that alienated fans and his inaction on recruiting and coaching hires.
You may not like it, but he made his own bed at SMU. Guys like me wanted to like him but like the honey badger, he don't give a sh*t, so he has worn out his welcome in my mind.
I am not sure why you defend him, he obviously does not care what anyone at SMU thinks of him, so if he doesn't care, why should you?

It is easy for me to believe that the agent or lawyer or both who wrote / negotiated JJs contract with SMU, including any additional work on the extension (or whatever we are in at present), has a long list of interested potential clients.
Maybe someone can confirm that.
I suspect also there is a book to put along side Payroll to Meet and film as interesting in its own way as Pony Excess. I suppose that that the latter especially would play best as a comedy about how a group of rich guys were outsmarted by someone they considered one of the little people.
If my understanding of what he said: Our smart rich guys got put in a box by Steinberg and Jones. And No Quarter thinks they got whipped in the terms of JJs contracts.
The thing is more than a few of them were/are ok with that box (limited options), IMO.

I hate it every time we lose a game, but maybe it will help june leave when we do.
When the national media talks about it, they talk about SMU. No one cares about Bennett, Cavan, Gregg or whoever else coached here...they say SMU lost those games. Every year I root for us to win every single game. I am not one to be limited or fear a team by their reputation and what they have done to others.
So losing games will not make June leave...he was extended for 3 years and nothing is official on that reduced buyout. Therefore losing those games simply makes us look horrible.

Losing games makes it much more likely he'll be fired. Reduced buyout or not the CoC isn't paying June to take us back to the Bennett days.
