It's 100 years of SMU athletics, not just football.
Obviously, this is an easy one for SMU. A bit underwhelming after the build up but we'll see how it goes.
Honestly, thing I am most worried about is this "declare your tradition" thing leading to more made up things like the "traditional home white-out", etc.

I love it. The Mods already nuked the thread. Great announcement, and I'm glad you liked the Ken Pye regime too.
If you can't mock your own University (in a good natured way) ...
I was serious about my homecoming float memory. I went to SMU thinking we would be a National Championship contender. We ended up getting the DP and Ken Pye wouldn't let Larry Johnson in.
Decades later, I got to watch SMU play in MSG. If we could just fix the FB team, I'll be happy.

Mark Rydel given Doak Walker's number 37.
The "Block" should make the top ten.

37 was my practice number and that is where my fame was achieved. Perhaps that will be it.

What number do you think the "Block" comes in at?

The fact that LaDanian Tomlinson got in ahead of Eric Dickerson is disgraceful. Tomlinson was a good player, but he wasn't even close to Dickerson.

Not sure what number we are on, but today we finally got to the women's sports era: 1977: Christine Loock won her fourth consecutive U.S. Diving 3-meter championship.
