Re: American Airlines CenterOne or two big non-conference games in the AAC when the students are on break wouldn't be bad. Moody Mayhem wouldn't be in full force anyway
Re: American Airlines CenterOjai- you're being shortsighted. Fact is, some big powerhouses won't agree to play us unless it's at AAC.
Like CalAllen said, do it during Winter Break when students are gone and Moody wouldn't be as raucous anyways 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: American Airlines CenterI do think one game (or an early-season toirney) at AAC is a good idea. But I think ojai is wrong about Duke. No home games in Greensboro or Charlotte. When Duke plays @ Davidson, they play at the NBA arena in Charlotte, but that's a Davidson home game. Not so sure about UNC but I can't recall many home games for them outside the Dean Dome either.
It's different in Dallas, where you have an NBA arena not serving as any college's home court that sits a few miles from campus.
Re: American Airlines Center
Yeah! But, lets face it. . . It's 90% Duke fans, and 10% Davidson fans 2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
Re: American Airlines CenterIf Michigan is going to make us play in Ann Arbor, then they should play us at Moody. I would only swap an AAC game for another neutral site game

ECM, I agree with you. But since SMU is still in the process of establishing themselves as a basketball power team I wonder him much bargaining power SMU has at this time. GO MUSTANGS!

Kind of like when we agreed to have a "home" game against UT in San Antonio... "[College] referees couldn't manage a White Castle." -Mark Cuban
Re: American Airlines Center
Yup, agree with this. It's rare to even see powerhouses go to one another's schools in the OOC. They do it but a lot of the match-ups take place in tournaments or neutral sites. Kentucky-Louisville is an exception to the rule. But when you're talking Kentucky, they aren't going to travel into Moody, nor is Duke, nor will UNC. At the AAC, it is a "neutral" court and they're going to be using is for a recruiting tool more than anything else. How many top programs have traveled to Spokane to visit Gonzaga over the years? Or San Diego State? Or Memphis? Or VCU? Or Butler? It's just not something you're going to see the Blue Bloods and other powerhouses do. There's not a lot to be gained for certain programs. At the AAC, they probably would split the gate and would be getting recruiting exposure. It's also a neutral floor game where if Kentucky played there, it would be at least 50-50 crowd for Kentucky if not much more like their game at Jerry's World against Baylor. Moody would be 80-20 due to season ticket holders. Huge difference.
