as a result of recruiting issues-fall out from Troy Causey's death. Ch. 5 report based on DMN investigation. Biggest names are AD Goree Johnson and his son Coach Roderick Johnson at 3A Champ Madison High School. Another son Royce Johnson of Dallas Kimball was not named

Be interesting to see if 'Snoop" Johnson remains at Kimball. Kimball basketball has been "dirty" for years. . . Come to think of it. So has South Oak Cliff basketball.

It seems to me that Frazier was involved in some issues related to Kimball. Does anyone know
the details and results of that inquiry? Obviously SMU was convinced that KF didn't have a
problem. Wonder if the Kimball coach (Snoop) is still being checked out.

The DISD found that Frazier was recruited from Irving to Kimball several years ago. That finding resulted in a warning to all Coaches and ADs that any future recruiting violations would result in termination. Superintendent Miles followed through with his warnings this time by firing the employees. Each Basketball Coach was required to personally verify the residence of his players by visiting their listed residence

Sad that it took a kid's death to expose just how dirty DISD athletics department

What comes around goes around, Goree Johnson. I'll never forget how much he slammed SMU after Jimmy Tubbs was fired and said he would tell every DISD coach to never send a kid there (I'm paraphrasing).

His departure couldn't come too soon.
