Cancellations May Affect SMU Schedule. Both Rice/Navy and UH/Southern Miss have been cancelled. UH reports that UH/Southern Miss game may be moved to November 12 with previously schedule SMU/UH clash to be moved to November 19 when both have off weeks. UH and the UTEP games would then be the only games after our off week-wouldn't seem to affect us very negatively except wasn't the UH game on PAX TV?.
It also appears that it could affect the tulane game.
Rita scrambles Conference USA football 01:50 PM CDT on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 By CALVIN WATKINS / The Dallas Morning News Three Conference USA football games were moved today because of the potential damage of Hurricane Rita. Rice's home game against Navy, scheduled Saturday, was moved to Oct. 22. Houston's game against Southern Miss. was moved to Nov. 12. In the process, SMU has moved its game against Houston to Nov. 19. Also, conference and school officials are discussing moving the game time of SMU-Tulane up a few hours to avoid any possible storms to the Dallas area. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. For Southern Miss., it is the second time it has had a game moved because of a hurricane. Its season opener with Tulane was pushed to Nov. 26 because of the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
or 11am start, or friday with quickie tv contract
Dammit. Now I need to move my dinner reservations. Or go to Houston two weeks in a row. But that would be a fate worse than death. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
No Thank you. Already missed one SMU game due to a HS game, dont want to miss another. ![]()
Well if they did do that, you could watch the Lobo game, and listen to the SMU game on the radio at the same time. Did that in 2002 when we beat Carter at Hanby in Mesquite during the playoffs, and SMU knocked off Tulsa in Ford. We kinda had a small hurricane last year at Hanby playing Horn. 1 and a half hour delay for lightning wasn't really fun. Hope some early feeder bands of lightning, and rain don't reach us Friday nite against the Skeeters.
good lord you bunch of babies, it is freaking rain, not like it is going to be softball size hail or sleet and snow. Football in the poiuring rain is always good. Just like I like my women, sloppy and wet and dirty.
Picture this. November 19 - SMU leads the Western Division, UTEP is one game back, and UH is one game back. A loss to UH would create a three way tie. A win would mean a trip to the CUSA championship game. The move back could make the game much more attractive.
