pretty sure we aren't hearing all the facts. EMan is probably doing the right thing so SMU didn't go down with him had he played ineligibly

Good point. Toughing it out until April wouldn't show anymore class than going pro now. Again, he brought SMU a lot of good pub. His commitment was worth JMM's scholarship imo due to the publicity and credibility it gave us.

I agree. It's a shame Emmanuel won't play for us, but I wish him well.

you know that scholarship doesn't actually cost the university anything except food and lost rents on a dorm.

you know that scholarship doesn't actually cost the university anything except food and lost rents on a dorm.[/quote] I do know that, was referring more to the fact that we gave a scholarship to a player who played less than 10 minutes last year and will probably do the same this year (if at all) when that scholarship could have gone to a player who could have contributed in a game. Who knows, maybe JMM will make some money and give back to the school that gave him a much better education than any other opportunities he had. Would be curious to see what BHops brother has ever given back to SMU..........after the sweet deal he got. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
