One thing that might help is that we have more offensively capable players this year. Between transfers and maturation, the point won't have to create for others. So if Manual or Head are backup PG they don't really have to be difference makers.

Well since Tolbert isn't eligible yet we only have one transfer ready to go so far. I certainly hope either Manuel or Head develops into a good backup pg.

Yep, it sucks not to have Eman. Regardless of what we all speculated he would bring to the table the fact that it took some pressure off Nic and gave us two solid handlers was huge. No question teams worked on taking Nic away last year. With Eman (or any decent additional handler) that becomes moot.

So in one sense we are right back where we were last year. Teams will be looking to make Nic sit all year unless somebody can step up to where the ball gets up the floor and distributed. Who is it going to be?

The good news is that IF WE CAN GET THE BALL UP THE FLOOR we are a heck of a lot better team in all other aspects.

Frankly, it should dawn on them that doing just (and only) that will guarantee them minutes. Less is more.

Nic has to learn to stop fouling idiotically. We are going to need him to play 35 minutes a night.
