We aren 't going to have anywhere close to 18,000 for Cincy because we'll likely come in at 1-4 and TCU will be more like 34-35,000

The goal is to sell 20k tickets to each game.
What's the real goal in terms of butts in seats? 10K?
I do enjoy the cynicism when SMU is really doing a great job of creating more revenue for its athletic department and marketing the hell out of the program.
C'mon now!

They have done a geat job of marketing and the mini plan strategy, but I think the cynicism comes with the fact the on the field product comes up short.

Also, re: cynicism - it's hard to believe Mustangs are out there buying all of these tickets.

Actually, they are. VAST majority are SMU fans. We are over 11k now, which is a new record.

Great idea red. Take a shot at one of the top ten benefactors of our university. Real class.

A really sour and hate-filled post. Nice work.

You are not sure how accusing him of selling junk cars is a shot?

IIRC sewell was the one (or one of a couple) that insisted tiki remain coach. junk for junk- right?
Not bitter- just pissed that RGT let tiki shove it to him with the ASU deal. tiki should have been fired with cause but RGT didn't have the cajones to do it. We each have our own opinions. I suspect we will be Div II before we realize it.
PS- I had two Lexus and I thought they were junk. Went back to MB and never regretted it.

And the difference is?
redpony wrote:tiki should have been fired with cause but RGT didn't have the cajones to do it.
Good luck with that strategy. The case would still be in litigation and SMU's legal fees would exceed $1M. Not to mention any rising coach desiring a bigger job (all of them) would stay far away from SMU. After all if they are willing to sue June Jones, what do you think they'd do to you?

I've driven MB that were junk. It's the nature of the auto business.
