A couple of points. (1) No credible coach will come to SMU unless they know that the administration is going to loosen the reigns and let them recruit players needed for success. Until we see that happening, it doesn't matter if Darryl Royal took over the program, we'd still put in exasperating showings. (2) Having said that, I don't understand how we have games like this where we just don't come to play.
