it wouldn't be a fan board without wild delusional fans. Im glad we have a few.

My point is that SMU offers someone a very nice entry into a very important media and corporate market. People get tunnel vision around here - based on being beaten down for years. In the right conference there is no reason SMU could not provide a USC Northwestern Duke kind of platform - smallish excellent school in a great media market with great facilities (once the bigger conference money starts flowing), who will make a run at the conference title every 5 yrs or so - and provide a bunch of eye balls and a TON of corporate sponsorship opportunities along the way. You think ATT wants to hang out in Waco? NO - they want to bring their corporate partners to Dallas for a long weekend of sports - mixing SMU into the cocktail.

Pac 12 or ACC should jump on us - we are a sleeping giant. Or big 12 should show some vision and protect their flank.

With all the big 12 money we could have done quite a bit more for the conference.

Whatever makes you feel better...

The world you live in must be an interesting place.

Baylor would kill to be SMU so don't kid yourself there. You are and always have been nobodies in the SWC and now the weak Big 12. Enjoy your 3 years of spotlight fame from a corrupt Briles program...we are next in line to take over you and will end up in a better conference. Pac, Ten, a P6 AAC or ACC. You can take this to the bank.

$1000 to the one of us with the winning record in those games (5-0 Baylor, 2-3 Baylor, etc.) plus $200 per game. In other words, you're risking $2,000 if Baylor runs the table and I'm risking $2,000 if we lose those 5.

Deal? I heard you don't pay up on bets, but since you think we'll get "rolled" I figured a straight up bet shouldn't scare you.

This act is getting pretty tired. What do you expect when you come onto an opponent's board and chat up your team? Besides, I can't respect a Baptist who tries to tempt someone else into gambling.

Thanks for your concern bu fan, but the fact of the matter lies in the actual talent on both teams. Baylor puts down SMU in terms of speed, strength, and coaching. I'm not saying there is a 100% chance of Baylor winning the game, but the probability is pretty close in my mind.

On the subject of the new stadium:
No doubt in my mind this will play to Baylor's advantage as well. A sold out, raucous crowd and a team that is predicted to be a serious player in the FBS this year? It wreaks of a blowout. Was thinking about going but it would be a seriously poor investment for an SMU student to buy a ticket for $150 to see his team get blown out when it will be on tv. Just being realistic here.

Baylor wins 63-21 and the game takes 3 1/2 hours to finish.

What act? All I did was call his bluff. We all know he's just making crap up trying to get me mad and failing at it miserably. If I said $10 he'd probably lie about taking the bet. Now he just left.

Besides, it's only gambling if you might lose money.

Y'all are getting really defensive at nothing here. On the plus side, I'll enjoy the blowout more while thinking about a few posts directed towards me on this site...

I don't flame the baylor board talking about how improved SMU is and how you are risking an upset. This is an SMU board and I'm an SMU fan. I don't see things objectively when it comes to college sports, and yes we will crush you next sunday. Don't play the victim card here or an enemy of my enemy is my friend dealio because Centx, BOP and I have our differences...you don't get a free pass here..

So... Is our bet on then? What about just one on the game next weekend?

I never bet on SMU so I don't jinx my team. Betting on other rivalries? Sure.

Well give me a damn reason to believe, just because I dont clutter this board with delusional garbage and act like a complete imbecile the way you do doesnt make me less of a fan. I still go to every home game while you go to TCU games... imagine that... I think you challenging my fanhood is pretty funny. So go ahead and continue your pillow kissing session with Stangitup aka yourself and Ill be rrriiiggghhhtttt here saying I told you so after Baylor trounces us.
