That's the best post I've seen coming out of yesterday's game.

Yup, maybe we were distracted by the weather just a little last week, and
at the game Saturday.

My brother rode it out in NW Houston just off of FM1960. Wasn't really
bad there, and he came through OK, but a tree did fall through a house
a few blocks away.

I guess Tulane had no similar distractions.

Excellent post. I, too, wish the very best for all of those who live in the regions affected by Katrina and Rita.

distractions for SMU?? come on now .. tulane is the one that doesnt have ANYTHING at all ... its time for all smu fans to quit making pathetic excuses for losing , i love the ponies as much as everybody on the hilltop does, and it just makes me sick to watch them get there [deleted] kicked year after year after year, i can't take it much longer, I have trouble listening to a whole game on the radio, much less at an actual game

Worrying about family, friends in southeast, and east Texas getting flooded, blown down, or having trees toppled on your house in the northern parts at the same time you play Tulane isn't distracting????

It was aimed at Houston and east Texas all week making focusing on practice hard. Haven't seen a Tulane roster, but I would bet we have a lot more players fromt the Houston, and east Texas area than they do.

Its a lot easier to focus when you already know your fate, than when you're worried about something, and can do nothing about it.
