DeMyronI don't understand how DeMyron could run with ease on TCU and we can't get a first down on Tulane. What happened to the O-line.
Dominant college offensive lines are filled with seniors and fourth-year juniors. We have one senior (Kieschnick) and three juniors (Johnson, Guidry, Urbanus), and they rotate in with younger guys. A young guy can excel at the skill positions (see DeMyron Martin). The line needs physical maturity as much as any area on the field. They're getting better - not as fast as we'd like, but they are.
Having said that, they had a bad day yesterday - no way to get past that. But this is the same group that opened up holes against TCU - a defense that is faster but smaller than Tulane's. That was ugly yesterday, but they'll be better against Marshall. Go Mustangs!
When DeMyron gets his shoulders squared upfield, he is tough.
From what I saw yesterday there was not much OL push to give him that chance to get going. YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
