I thought you had given up on football. Can you start an Official SMU vs Lamar thread this early?

NTSU didn't score 3.5 offensive points in their opener either. Texas was just running a play from its end zone and fumbled a snap and NTSU fell on it.

SMU (0-1) at North Texas (0-1) Sept. 6, 12:00, Fox Sports
Here's The Deal: Someone is getting out of Denton with its first victory of 2014. That’s about the best thing that could be said about SMU and North Texas after one week. The Mustangs and the Mean Green were absolutely hideous against Big 12 powers Baylor and Texas, respectively. Neither team produced an offensive point, testament to the challenges facing both staffs in the month of September.
Why SMU Might Win: Yeah, the Mustangs bowed meekly to the Baylor, but with June Jones in charge there’s hope for a rebound. SMU has much more potential on offense than North Texas, whose quarterbacks had more picks and sacks than completions in Austin. Without an early hole from which to climb, the Mustangs can employ power backs Prescott Line and Kevin Pope to complement QB Neal Burcham.
Why North Texas Might Win: The Mean Green has a well-coached D, so even personnel changes won’t derail recent results. And it’s not as if Texas had its way with the unit, managing just 353 yards. Plus, North Texas should be able to play ball-control with the backfield tandem of Reggie Pegram and Antoinne Jimmerson.
Who To Watch Out For: North Texas is still searching for a quarterback to replace Derek Thompson. Dan McCarney is reopening the competition after Josh Greer and Andrew McNulty combined to throw for 15 yards on 17 attempts. If gains in the passing game can’t be made, it’ll invite opposing defenses to stack the box on Pegram and Jimmerson.
What’s Going To Happen: The Mean Green is home, working on an extra day’s rest and, at this time, better coached. It’ll be the difference in a game between two schools trying to avoid circling the drain before the season even gets off the ground.
Prediction: North Texas 26 … SMU 22
Line: North Texas -3; O/U: 50
Must Watch Factor: (5: Hacked and Leaked Photos of Kate Upton ... 1: Hacked and Leaked Photos of Kate Upton and Justin Verlander) … 1.5

"The Mean Green are...at this time, better coached." Now that's $2 Million well spent.
