Bob Newhart mentions SMU with Craig Ferguson
This is totally random - was watching Craig Ferguson last night and he had Bob Newhart on - they were chatting about his popular sitcoms from back in the day and they started talking about a drinking game called "Hi, Bob" - then Bob said "I heard it started at the Southern Methodist University, I hope it did - I mean, they liked the show, it was a compliment to the show" - the conversation starts on this Youtube link at about 25:58: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9SXpi7apEo

Re: Bob Newhart mentions SMU with Craig Ferguson
Newhart's fame comes from his 1960 comedy album The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart which was recorded in the nightclub at the old Tidelands hotel in Houston, across the street from Rice University.
