If he's waiting until spring that could be good news for us in several respects. Perhaps SMU is his first choice and he needs to get his grades or SAT's up. Also, as big a stud as he is, schools such as Indiana, Kansas and UNC have been known to fill up their class in the fall since they recruit nationwide, and have the luxury of picking which recruits they really want. I would like our chances to get him vs. Baylor and UT.

you're really stretching it Eaststang. No Tubbs is going to have to outrecruit these teams to get Arthur.

So would I. The problem is that they're not the biggest threats (UT's not even on his list any more, is it?) Kansas, I gather, is the front-runner, and UNC is lurking, I believe.

Everything indicated is that Kansas is the front runner with Self essentially kowtowing in Arthur's living room.

Good news is that Arthur came away with nothing much to say about his Baylor trip. UNC is up next!

Just a guess but methinks "waiting till spring" means problems with the SAT. Kansas will keep a scholarship handy for him - I doubt UNC will.

I don't think I've ever heard any academic issues raised about Arthur. He is taking visits so that means at least he has taken the SAT.

Arthur is a full qualifier. Waiting until spring is more about the NBA than the SAT.

I don't believe that Arthur took his official to Baylor. The Baylor campus closed down Friday in anticipation of Rita and the jammed interstates would have made travel difficult. I am guessing he has rescheduled.

He probably drove into Waco, and onto the Baylor campus last Friday and figured that they had closed down the school.

Why would a school that is hundreds of miles from the coast close due to an "impending" hurricane that on Friday was landing even further away? Y'all are starting to think like Aggies. Geez.

Read that unc is interested, but he is backup to some other recruits. As stated earlier, williams wants players around more than one year. (Of course, he'll take if he really needs him.)
