Or, come watch our basketball team across the street at Moody, at 7.

LoL or that Image Hey I love Dement (and Little D) but I wanted to see Phillips. Lynch beat TCA convincingly, but not because of Phillips. Their tailback (#5 I think) stole the game with 2 breakaway TD's. Phillips didn't impress, but he was efficient. Anyone else see the game?

I was there last night, and I liked what I saw. I wasn't so much interested in the numbers he put up, but with the way he played. From where I sat, he looked very good. He stood tall in the pocket, even when TCA mustered a little bit of a pass rush, and he stood in and made good throws. He seemed to have good mechanics - he threw over the top, and he got his feet set very quickly to make a pass, or to switch directions and look for other receivers. He also looked very fluid running the ball, with better speed and quickness than I expected (I saw him play once before).

He didn't pull an Elway and win the game by himself, but he didn't have to. When you have a RB running the ball that well, there's no need to throw the ball all over the field. He (and Corey Jordan) took what the TCA defense gave them. After all, Elway won quite a few games by handing off to Terrell Davis, right? Overall, I was very impressed with Phillips.
